Transaero Airlines Launches Direct Scheduled Services between Moscow and Taipei

Transaero-AirlinesTransaero Airlines carried out a direct scheduled flight on the Moscow-Taipei route on 2-3 July 2014.
The UN505/506 weekly flights are operated from Moscow Vnukovo airport onboard Boeing 767-300 in a two-class configuration with Business and Economy classes according to the following schedule (all times local):

 
Departure from Moscow on Wednesdays at 15.00, arrival in Taipei at 06.50 the next day. Departure from Taipei on Thursdays at 09.40, arrival in Moscow at 17.30.

 
Upon the arrival at the airport of Taipei, the Transaero’s aircraft was welcomed with water salute.

 
The high demand for a new product is proved by the load factor of the return flight from Taipei to Moscow, which is estimated to be 90%.

 
Transaero Airlines has previous experience of services to Taipei. The airline carried out its first flight to the administrative center of Taiwan in 2002.

 
According to the code-sharing agreement between Transaero Airlines and its Taiwanese partner China Airlines, starting from July 9, 2014, the flights on the Moscow-Taipei route will be operated jointly under the UN/CI code. The flights on this route are performed by Transaero Airlines, while China Airlines has the right of free sale for these flights.
The nonstop flights between Moscow and Taipei are intended to contribute to the development of the business and travel links between Russia and Taiwan.
