Nashville International Airport (BNA) today announced the opening of a TSA Pre✓™ Enrollment Center. The center is located at the north end of the Ticketing Lobby, between the Frontier Airlines ticketing counter and Wright Travel. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and closed on the weekends. The center will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and Jan. 1 for the holidays.
The TSA Pre✓™ application process allows U.S. citizens to go through a pre-enrollment process online and visit an application center to provide biographic information (e.g. name, date of birth, address, etc.), fingerprints, payment and valid required identity and citizenship/immigration documentation. All TSA Pre✓™ program applicants must visit an enrollment center in-person to verify their identity and citizenship/immigration status as well as to provide fingerprints and pay the $85 enrollment fee. Once approved for TSA Pre✓™, enrollment is valid for five years.
TSA Pre✓™ benefits include use of one of the four TSA Pre✓™ lanes at BNA where passengers will undergo expedited screening which includes being able to leave shoes, light outerwear and belt on, keep laptop in its case and 3-1-1compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry-on.
“The TSA Pre✓™ Enrollment Center at BNA allows more passengers to register for the program without having to travel to another city for their interview and screening process,” Rob Wigington, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, said. “We recently opened two additional lanes for a total of four TSA Pre✓™ lanes. We are working in collaboration with TSA to streamline the security screening process for our passengers and ultimately deliver the Nashville Airports Experience.”
Passengers who are eligible for TSA Pre✓™ include:
• U.S. citizens of frequent flyer programs who meet TSA-mandated criteria and who have been invited by a participating airline
• U.S. citizen, U.S. national or Lawful Permanent Residents who are members of the TSA Pre✓™ Application Program
• U.S. citizens who are members of a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Trusted Traveler program, such as Global Entry, SENTRI, and NEXUS and Canadian citizens who are members of NEXUS
• Members of the U.S. Armed Forces
