Norwegian-Breakaway-300x225A man and a woman were found injured in a cruise ship docked at Port Canaveral.

The man was found with a neck injury on the Norwegian Breakaway, a trauma alert was issued for him. The woman in her 70’s suffered a fracture according to the rescue team.

The man suffered the injury when something fell on him while at sea. He is in his late 20’s and was a worker of the ship. He had to be airlifted to the Holmes Regional Medical Centre.

However, the woman is in stable condition. The two injuries are unrelated said the Norwegian Cruise line officials.

Passengers say the boat has some slippery areas but they don’t think that the high surf played a factor in the injuries.

The passengers have told the local media that the ship has been sailing well. It was a bit rough the last night but on the whole people are enjoying a great voyage.

With home port in Manhattan, the ship stops at Brevard County. The ship set sail from New Jersey and docked at Port Canaveral to let the passengers sight see before leaving for the Bahamas.
