The Vietnam national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will open its new Vinh – Vientiane route from January 12, 2014, announced the airlines on December 23.
The route will be served by 4 flights per week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, by ATR72 aircraft.
Flights are expected to depart from Vinh airport at 8h40am and from Vientiane airport (the national capital of Laos) at 10h40 am (local time), with an estimated flying time of over 1 hour.
This will be the first new international route operated by Vietnam Airlines in 2014, after 5 newly-operated international routes in 2013, thus expanding its network to 93 destinations.
On this occasion, the carrier offers a promotional program for a round-trip ticket on the Vinh – Vientiane route at VND825,000 (around USD39, not including taxes, fees and surcharges).
These tickets are applicable for passengers purchasing from now to February 23, 2014, and departing from January 12 to March 31, 2014.
