Vistara reaches a new high with 500,000 happy flyers

vistaraJust over eight months since its inaugural flight on January 9, 2015, Vistara reached the special milestone of flying 500,000 customers. Having the lineage of great brands – Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, Vistara is loved for its customer centricity and thoughtfulness. The airline has made a noticeable difference to the aviation landscape with a slew of innovative and differentiated offerings for its customers. With 10 destinations, 245 weekly frequencies and industry’s best OTP consistently, Vistara is fast becoming an airline of choice for many. Reaching this momentous milestone in such a short time clearly shows that Vistara has lived up to its brand promise of providing a seamless and personalised travel experience in the Indian skies and its customers are appreciating the value proposition it offers.

 

 

 

Early morning on 20th August, through the auto-check in process, Vistara’s team identified their 5th lac customer. Mr. Paras Johar, who happened to be the special customer received a warm welcome by Vistara crew at IGI airport.  He was escorted right from the airport entrance to the check-in counters. Originally booked to travel on Vistara’s Premium Economy Class from Delhi to Goa, Mr. Johar was pleasantly surprised by a courtsey upgrade to Business Class. Mr. Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO, Vistara presented the upgraded boarding pass to Mr. Johar and also felicitated him with a complimentary Club Vistara Gold membership. To celebrate the occasion, all passengers flying with the airline on the day will be served specially prepared delicacies.  All Premium Economy and Economy Class customers will also receive a complimentary Premium Economy upgrade voucher that is redeemable on a future flight with Vistara.

 

 

 

Conveying his excitement on being the 5th lac customer, Mr. Paras Johar, said, “When I received my boarding pass through Vistara’s auto check-in system this morning, I had no idea what was in store for me. Vistara turned an ordinary, mundane day of mine into a memorable one and the entire crew made me feel like a celebrity. From the warm reception at the airport, I was pampered throughout the journey to my destination, Goa. I definitely look forward to flying with Vistara again.”

 

 

 

To mark this special milestone and as a token of appreciation, Vistara is also offering a complimentary Premium Economy Class ticket to its Business Class customers, travelling from 12th August to 30th September 2015. All these special offers were promoted on Social Media and numerous other channels.  Vistara employees also conveyed their gratitude to our valued customers through a specially recorded video.

Having recently introduced mobile phone boarding pass facility for customers travelling out of Mumbai’s T2 terminal to New Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Goa, Vistara stands tall on its promise of delivering a truly seamless travel experience for its customers. Coming months will witness the launch of Vistara’s signature lounge at its hub T3, IGI Airport, addition of new aircraft, added frequencies, new destinations and the revolutionary in-flight entertainment (IFE) system which will provide wireless streaming of preloaded content to customers’ personal electronic devices.
