Weather woes trigger 756 traffic accidents within 8hrs in Dubai

756 traffic accidents  DubaiBad weather in Dubai reported 756 traffic accidents over a period of eight hours from 6am to 2pm.

 

A Young motorist in Al Ain was killed as he lost control of his vehicle while speeding down a wet road.

 

A bus driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a parked car on the Mohammad bin Zayed Road, which caused the bus to flip over. When two drivers walked out of their car to inspect the damage they were met with a minor accident. One of the drivers was killed when a vehicle crashed into one of the cars and ran over the driver.

 

The drivers in Dubai were not adjusting their speed with weather conditions said Dubai Police on the accidents.

 

293 of the accidents were minor and involved two vehicles, while 36 accidents had three vehicles involved said the Director of the Command Room of the Dubai Police.

 

A total of 60 vehicles crashed into the median, while 28 vehicles crashed into concrete barriers on the roadside, four collided with poles and three vehicles rammed into trees. Thirteen vehicles ended up on fire on the road, leading to long delays in most cases.
