download-7112014 is the fiftieth year of the Festival of Busselton and more than two dozen events will be held throughout the City from January 7 till January 26.

Deckchair cinemas in Dunsborough and Busselton; Children’s Treasure Hunt; Pirates Competition on board the sail training ship Leeuwin tied up at the historic Busselton jetty; Petticoat Lane, Fishing Clinic; Sandcastle Competition; Teddy Bears’ Picnic; Float Parade; and a Closing Night Concert followed by fireworks – these are just some of the events that the Festival and associated community groups will be holding in 2014.

The Beach Festival then kicks in over the final weekend in January. Heats of the Battle of the Bands are followed by Rotary’s Australia Day Breakfast, an afternoon and evening of Tribal Mix and then more fireworks.

Most events are free but a gold coin donation is requested at several of the major events to help cover costs.
