Located on Reservoir Road off the M4 Highway (Prospect exit) in Western Sydney, Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney has more than 40 water slides and attractions, state-of-the-art guest experiences and world-class facilities.
Speaking at the Grand Opening – also attended by Graham Burke (Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of Village Roadshow Limited), Tim Fisher (CEO of Village Roadshow Theme Parks) and Chris Warhurst (General Manager of Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney); Mr Souris said: “This is not just the Western Sydney’s epicentre of family fun, but a major tourist attraction which will boost employment and the local economy.
“Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney promises to be a great asset for Western Sydney and indeed NSW, bringing both local visitors and those from regional areas, interstate and overseas,” Mr Souris said.
“The Park will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the State’s visitor economy, and will be a much-needed boost for surrounding businesses and employment in Western Sydney.
“The $120 million Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney is expected to generate $500 million in economic activity over the next ten years for the local economy,” he said.
Minister for Fair Trading and Minister Assisting the Premier on Western Sydney, Stuart Ayres said: “Wet ‘n’ Wild is set to become an important facility for Western Sydney. This high tech adventure theme park will undoubtedly prove an irresistible draw card, not only for families in the Western Sydney region but those everywhere.”
Member for Smithfield, Andrew Rohan said: “Our community welcomes the arrival of Wet ‘n’ Wild and the enhanced visitation benefits it will obviously bring to our region.”
Cutting edge technology is the order of the day at Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney, with many rides and attractions featuring the latest innovations and technological advances.
Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney also includes gentler family fun attractions like Wet ‘n’ Wild Jr. featuring kid-sized versions of the park’s more extreme attractions, and The Beach – Australia’s largest wave pool with more than 6,800,000 litres of water, the finest sand and perfect waves, making it the world’s best inland sea.
