The real Christmas spirit is generosity, charity and help. The annual community Christmas project at Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai aims to provide basic necessities that many take for granted and bring happiness to children. With this project, the Hotel raises fund to buy essentials, including clothes, foods and so on for children.
This year, Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai cooperates with You Dao Foundation to send Christmas wishes to 50 children from low income migrant families.
Walking into the Lobby of the Hotel, guests will see a decorated Christmas tree with 50 shining stars hanging on it. Each of these stars holds a wish of a child. Until December 24, 2013, guests can adopt a star from the Christmas tree, then follow the wish on it to purchase an appropriate gift at approximately CNY 100.00 to 200.00 to deliver kindness and Christmas spirit to those children in need and make their wishes come true. All the purchased gifts will be wrapped and placed under the Christmas tree with the star together. Just before the Lunar New Year all gifts will be sent to those children in January 2014.
For guests with intensive schedules and no time to purchase gifts by themselves, they can just give the adopted star and their contributed cash to the Concierge, wo will be more than glad to purchase gifts and deliver wishes to the children.
