Wizz Air Celebrates 11 Million Passengers at Katowice

Wizz-Air (1)Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe*, celebrates the 11 millionth passenger flying through Katowice Airport. The 11 millionth passenger, Magdalena Mozgała, arrived in Katowice with her family on Wizz Air’s flight from Bourgas.

 

Upon arrival, Mrs Mozgala was presented by representatives of Wizz Air and Katowice Airport with a PLN 200 voucher for the Aelia Duty Free** at Katowice and with a return flight voucher from Wizz Air.

 

Wizz Air’s Daniel de Carvalho said: “We are delighted to welcome our 11 millionth passenger here at Katowice. Our growth in Katowice and Poland is driven by happy consumers, such as Mrs. Mozgala, who enjoy our great service and our incredible low fares. The important milestone of 11 million passengers carried here at Katowice is also a reason to thank the airport for their professionalism and to remind our customers that we now offer 21 exciting routes from Katowice with fares starting from just 39PLN.***”

Wizz Air offers 21 international low-cost routes from Katowice. In total, Wizz Air now offers 90 routes from 8 Polish airports. Wizz Air constantly develops its network from Poland and the Silesian region. Recently, the carrier announced the inauguration of new routes from Katowice. Starting from late October, passengers can fly to Glasgow in Scotland and to Maastricht in the Netherlands.
