Fairmont-Resorts-300x131The Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains is the proud accommodation sponsor of the Leura Shakespeare Festival which runs from 11-26 January 2014 and as a result, the MGallery resort will be home to a lively Festival Bar and a number of Shakespeare masterclasses where hotel guests can channel their inner Romeo or Juliette.
Now in its 4th year, the Leura Shakespeare Festival will feature two plays – an adaptation of the French masterpiece, Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac, and Shakespeare’s much adored, Much Ado About Nothing. Both will be playing at Leura’s exquisite Everglades Garden Theatre every Friday to Sunday from 11-26 January.
As the accommodation sponsor of the festival, the Fairmont Resort will be going above and beyond to create a Shakespeare wonderland for locals, Shakespeare enthusiasts and guests of the hotel.

Operating during the entire festival, the Fairmont Loves Shakespeare Festival Bar at the resort will be a hive of artistic activity as the cast and crew of the productions mingle for post-show drinks and answer any burning questions audience members may have.
The resort will also be hosting “All the World’s a Stage” Shakespeare masterclasses for adults and children. Guests will tread the boards and discover their voice, conquer Shakespeare’s poetry and take on some of his greatest characters under the guidance of Sport for Jove’s top theatre educators and performers.
The Shakespeare masterclass will be held at Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains on Saturday 18 January at 10:30am. Price: $13 per adult, $8 per child (up to 18yrs).
Celebrating its 25th birthday this year, the Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains boasts spectacular views over the Jamison Valley and Leura Golf Club and features renovated guestrooms, two restaurants, a lounge and bar, two swimming pools, a fully equipped gymnasium, day spa treatment room and the new Fairmont Express – a life-size replica toy train which takes kids and train enthusiasts around the grounds of the resort.
