southwest-airlineIn a bizarre incident on Sunday, a Southwest Airlines plane carrying 124 passengers and 5 crew members made a wrong landing at Missouri. The passengers were stunned and later flown to the right airport after a while.

Southwest Airlines plane 4013 was scheduled to fly from Chicago Midway Airport to Branson Airport. However, the pilot made a landing at the Taney County airport in Missouri, according to the statements of a airline spokesman.

The two airports are about seven miles apart and serve the same area of southwest Missouri. According to the latest reports the airline company is yet to have enough information to say why the plane landed at the wrong location.

The landing of the plane, a Boeing 737-700 carrying 124 passengers and five crew members, was uneventful, and everyone is safe.

The Southwest Airlines website said the flight had arrived at Gate 3 of Branson airport. The plane, which departed Chicago about an hour late, arrived roughly two hours and 20 minutes behind schedule at Branson.
