Wyndham Vacation Rentals® Appoints Marc Schwartz Vice President of Consumer Marketing and Brand Strategy, North America

wyndham-exchange-and-rentalsWyndham Vacation Rentals®, the world’s largest professionally managed vacation rental business and part of the Wyndham Worldwide family of brands, today announced the appointment of Marc Schwartz as vice president of consumer marketing and brand strategy, North America, effective immediately.

Schwartz will lead Wyndham Vacation Rentals’ multi-channel marketing operations, guiding consumer, brand and e-commerce strategy to support the ongoing growth of the company’s vacation rentals business in North America. He will execute the company’s sales and marketing programs to increase brand awareness, attract new customers and build profitable, long-term customer relationships. He will also influence product, promotion and distribution strategies. Schwartz will be reporting directly to the President of Wyndham Vacation Rentals North America, Bob Milne.

“With more than 20 years of marketing expertise, Marc has proven to be an innovative leader, successfully driving a number of marketing transformations,” said Milne. “His experience in building consumer brands, developing marketing platforms and executing acquisition and loyalty strategies will make him a tremendous asset to our team as we continue to grow and strengthen our brand presence in the quickly evolving U.S. vacation rentals market.”

Prior to joining Wyndham Vacation Rentals, Schwartz led multi-channel marketing at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for the past five years, overseeing marketing initiatives across North America, Asia and emerging markets. He also served as vice president of global brand marketing for Westin Hotels and Resorts, part of the Starwood family of brands, and has held previous marketing leadership roles at Novartis, Prodigy Internet, Publishers Clearing House and Kraft Foods.

Schwartz holds a bachelor’s degree in food science from Rutgers University and went on to earn his master’s degree in marketing from Hofstra University.
