John Wayne Airport Posts October 2013 Statistics

John-Wayne-Airport-300x98Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in October 2013 as compared to October 2012. In October 2013, the Airport served 791,710 passengers, an increase of 1.9% when compared to the October 2012 passenger traffic count of 776,658.

Commercial aircraft operations increased 0.7%, while Commuter aircraft operations decreased 31.1% when compared to the levels recorded in October 2012.

Total aircraft operations decreased in October 2013 as compared to the same month in 2012. In October 2013, there were 19,796 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a decrease of 7.7% when compared to 21,436 total aircraft operations in October 2012.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 63.9% of the total aircraft operations during October 2013, decreased 11.2% when compared to October 2012.
