c_82c85260d5After 20 years on the Cracow hospitality market, the Chopin Hotel re-mains popular among tourists from all over Europe and continues to win awards. The hotel doesn’t rest on its laurels: it is constantly upgrading and improving the quality of its services.
The Chopin Hotel Cracow celebrates a double anniversary this year: 20 years since its establishment and almost 10 years since joining the Austrian hotel management group Vienna International Hotels & Resorts (VI). “This is a special year for us in every way. These anniversaries encourage reflection, but also obliga-tions. I am extremely proud of the fact that I can manage this facility, which, through its experienced team, has been constantly developing, achieving better results and winning more prizes. Recently we were announced as the best one- to three-star hotel in Cracow by the reservation website rezerwuje.pl,” says Ewa Nowakowska, General Manager of the Chopin Hotel Cracow. Martin Ykema, the new Chief Operating Officer of VI Hotels & Resorts, said: “As the hotel had been fully renovated in the period 2008-2013, all rooms and the apartment underwent a refreshment and the hotel received a new façade; the hotel looks much younger.” To mark the occasion, the Chopin Hotel Cracow has organised a birthday gala for its business partners and announced a special offer for accommodation under the promotional slogan: “20 euros per night for the 20th anniversary.”

The beginnings
The Chopin Hotel, belonging to the Orbis Group at that time, hosted its first guest on 1 July 1993. Since then, the property has strengthened its position on the hospitality market in Cracow. Wanda Wójcik, an employee who has worked at the hotel for 20 years, says: “I experienced a difference in work-ing first for the French and then for the Austrian manager, but the atmosphere at the Chopin is so great that coming to work is a pleasure. I think guests feel it as well.” The Chopin Hotel Cracow currently em-ploys 69 people, including 7 who have been with the hotel for 20 years.
The Chopin Hotel Cracow was designed by Porr AG / Jet Atelier – K. Ingarden, A. Choldzynski, J. Ingarden. The first owners were Naftobudowa and Chopin GmbH. Since 2006, it has been owned by the Austrian company Warimpex.
