The Berlin-based agency PLANTAGE BERLIN is now the lead agency responsible for the creative and strategic development of airberlin’s frequent flyer program brand. In a multi-stage pitch, PLANTAGE BERLIN prevailed and won the topbonus account.
Marcus Puffer, General Manager of topbonus, explained why PLANTAGE BERLIN was awarded the account: “The creativity and the strategic approach of PLANTAGE BERLIN convinced us. In addition to a great understanding of the brand, the team also demonstrated excellent ideas for the further development of the program.”
“The conscious decision for a creative agency shows that topbonus wants to explore new pathways and position itself exceptionally among the frequent flyer programs. We want to support topbonus in achieving this goal and are looking forward to working together,” said Lennart Witting, Executive Creative Director at PLANTAGE BERLIN.
One of the first major projects will be the upcoming 10th anniversary of topbonus in 2014.
In addition to Witting and Lennart Akinci, Executive Consulting Director, the new Management Supervisor Christoph Erdmann will support the account on behalf of the agency. Erdmann came to BERLIN PLANTAGE in the summer of 2013 from TBWA/Berlin and manages the consulting on key accounts such as Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero and MINI.

Thanks to the partnership with Etihad Airways and oneworld® membership, topbonus has become even more attractive for frequent flyers: holders of a topbonus Status card can earn status miles on all flights with Etihad Airways and have worldwide access to the airport lounges of Etihad and oneworld.
