One passenger was killed and four others seriously injured as a helicopter crashed in Indonesia’s north Sumatra Island Monday morning, local media reported.
The Helicopter which was owned by a local hospital hit an electricity substation shortly after taking off in Simalungun Regency, 80 km southeast of North Sumatra’s capital Medan, local TV station Metro TV reported.
The helicopter carrying 5 people including the pilot crashed at 10:55 a.m. local time, claiming the helicopter technician’s life, Metro TV said.
The investigation to the cause of the accident is underway.
