Mark Meaney appointed as the GM of Conrad Centennial Singapore

markMark Meaney has been appointed as the General Manager of Conrad Centennial Singapore with effect from 7 December 2013 by Hilton Worldwide. Born in Ireland, Mark has held several management positions in Japan, the United States of America and Ireland in his 17-year hospitality career. Mark is a graduate from the Shannon College of Hotel Management in Ireland with First Class Honours and a Higher Diploma in International Hotel Management.

Prior to this appointment, Mark was Director of Operations since July 2011 and Director of Food and Beverage from February 2010 to June 2011 at Conrad Tokyo renowned for its award-winning fine dining experience which features one Michelin-starred restaurant – Collage. During his tenure in Conrad Tokyo, Mark spearheaded successful initiatives leading the hotel to win the Conrad Hilton Award twice, in 2011 and in 2013 for being the best hotel in the Conrad brand portfolio. Before moving to Japan, Mark was the resident manager of the Mount Juliet Conrad, in Kilkenny, Ireland.

On his move to Singapore for the first time, Mark says, “I am excited to be leading one of the most pre-eminent luxury hotels in Singapore. The city-state is one of the most sought-after destinations for business and leisure in the region and I look forward to taking Conrad Centennial Singapore to greater heights in this dynamic city.”

As General Manager, Mark will assume the responsibility of managing the Conrad Centennial Singapore, an award-winning luxury hotel strategically located in the heart of the Marina Bay, Singapore’s famous integrated commercial and entertainment precinct. The hotel offers 507 luxurious guestrooms and suites, complemented with unparalleled facilities and services to match the discerning needs of all travellers.
