RTEmagicC_DSC_03831_01.jpgOn 4 September, at 09.05, the first Ryanair flight heading to the Greek capital left the tarmac at BSCA.

On-board were 180 people ready and waiting to explore the beauties of the cradle of Western civilisation.

The launch of the line linking Brussels South Charleroi Airport to Athens is one of the first stages of Ryanair’s winter 2014 programme. Jean-Jacques Cloquet, CEO of BSCA, believes in the potential of this new destination: “With this new line, a major European capital will be connected to our airport.

Opportunities to fly to Greece from Charleroi are growing. We now offer nine destinations in Greece so there’s plenty to choose for anyone interested in history, culture or art.” Athens is now linked up to Brussels South Charleroi Airport with one flight a day. Flights take off at 09.05 and land at 13.15, local time.
