The capital is getting ready to celebrate the Day of the City this weekend. Power extreme competitions, youth sub-cultures festival, the city of craftsmen. All this is merely a small part of the festive programme. The event will permeate into all the districts of Minsk.
During the holiday, special emphasis will be placed on the urban security. Bicycles and pets will have to be left at home. One will not be allowed to enter the major venues of the city with them. Security check-points are to appear on the Svisloch river bank, around the Stela in Pobediteley Avenue, near the Palace of Sports and the Student Village.
Throughout the whole day, the main transport roads and entry highways will have additional traffic control posts.
