Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services (LTLS) is celebrating a double victory among its trainees. Hard on the heels of Martin Meryk’s award as the best specialist in warehouse logistics in the German state of Hesse, Kristin Klemm won a comparable award from the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. This means that in 2013, LTLS was home to the best trainees in the state at its two most important training locations.
In his greeting at the ceremony with its 400 invited guests, Chamber of Commerce President Fritz Horst Melsheimer advised the young trainee graduates to make the most of the three-stage training system in Germany (schooling, dual study and subsequent training). “With it, you’ll enjoy the best possible conditions for a successful continuation of your careers,” said Melsheimer.
Ronald Bauer, Director of Training at Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services, has had the pleasure of several state winners among his trainees over the last few years. “The special fascination of aircraft-related logistics and the opportunity to work directly at the heart of operations are part of the attraction for young people in training to become warehouse logistics specialists. The field of aircraft maintenance makes very high demands on logistics services and our trainees have access to opportunities here that they won’t find elsewhere.”
The application process is currently underway for the traineeships that start in 2014.
