Amtrak has a limited number of seats still available on Northeast Corridor trains for Thanksgiving travelers looking to avoid highway traffic and potential weather delays at airports.
With a nor’easter forecast to affect the East Coast this week, rail travel remains one of the most reliable and comfortable transportation options, especially in weather conditions that
negatively impact other modes.
America’s Railroad® is operating a special Thanksgiving schedule for the Northeast Corridor services with extra trains and additional seating capacity. Seats are still available for trains running on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday, but travelers are encouraged to book as soon as possible to reserve seats and ensure the best possible price.
Amtrak expects near record ridership across the country for the Thanksgiving travel
period and, by utilizing every available passenger car in the fleet, is able to accommodate more passengers than ever before.
