From 1st July 2014, Germany’s second largest airline will be working in partnership with rental car provider Hertz.
The existing Premium Partnerships with Sixt, HRS and ERGO Direkt will remain in place.
The new partnership with Hertz is mainly advantageous for travellers to the USA and underlines the company’s strength in North America.
Hertz is the largest provider of rental cars at US airports.
“The offers from our Premium Partners mean that our guests can benefit from a tailor-made service from a single source.
In addition to their flight booking our guests can easily add a rental car for their holiday, a hotel accommodation for a city break or purchase travel insurance all for the best possible value,” says André Rahn, Senior Vice President Marketing at airberlin.
These partnerships bring special benefits for airberlin guests because they can book their complete trip on airberlin.com on outstandingly good terms: when the flight is booked on the airline’s website, guests will automatically be offered suitable rental cars from Hertz and Sixt during the booking process.
After booking the flight, there is also the option of adding a hotel reservation with Premium Partner HRS.
If members of the topbonus frequent flyer program select an offer from a Premium Partner, they will additionally be credited with topbonus award miles.
Under these partnerships, airberlin offers its Premium Partners many opportunities to have their brand incorporated, for example during the booking process, along the entire travel chain and in the airberlin frequent flyer program, topbonus.
For example, the logos for Premium Partners appear on the livery of airberlin aircraft and in the airberlin Newsletter.
