For the fourth year in a row, Sydney Airport is proudly supporting the Sydney Fringe artists, venues and organisers during the month of September.

“Sydney Airport is a strong supporter of the local community and the Sydney Fringe Festival showcases and celebrates the diversity and creativity of Sydney’s inner west,” Sydney Airport chief executive officer Kerrie Mather said.

“With 38 million passengers passing through Sydney Airport every year, we can promote the Fringe to a wide ranging audience,” Ms Mather said.

The Sydney Fringe Festival – NSW’s largest independent arts festival – will feature hundreds of free and ticketed performances across more than 60 venues.

This year, Sydney Airport is a presenting partner of family picnic days at Enmore Park and Camperdown Memorial Park on Sunday, 21 September and Sunday, 28 September respectively, where children will be able to create and fly paper aeroplanes or race down the “runway” in cardboard wings.

Sydney Fringe Festival general manager Sandy Stevens said the Fringe continued to thrive thanks to the support of sponsors like Sydney Airport.

“Sydney Airport’s support enables the festival to produce events for the families and businesses in our community. In addition, the signage at the airport provides a platform for promoting the festival in high traffic areas at the international terminal.”

“We thank Sydney Airport for its continued support and promotion of the talented artists and performers in the community to Sydneysiders and tourists alike,” she said.
