Holland-America-LineThe Holland Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is excited to present the 2016 Holland Area Visitors Guide. “Due to increased demand, 135,000 copies of the glossy 4-color guide were printed, with the number of pages increasing from 64 to 76,” said Sally Laukitis, Executive Director of the Visitors Bureau. “The guide was published early in the year to showcase Holland as a 4-season destination, and to give those wishing to visit during Tulip Time a jump-start on their travel plans.”

This year’s Guide has even more photos and enticing verbiage than past publications. The Visitors Bureau is proud to have worked exclusively with local photographers, and is thrilled with the response to this year’s ‘cover photo’ competition. Over 100 submissions were received. “We are thrilled to present two winners,” Laukitis said. “Amy Busa, whose photo of a purple and white tulip with a striking green leaf background adorns the cover for the first half of the year; the cover will then change to Dan Athey’s stunning photo of DeZwaan Windmill, with vibrant French tulips bending in the wind.” Photo credits for all of the photographers are listed in the guide.

With increased competition for visitors along the lakeshore, the Holland Area Visitors Bureau is dedicated to making this guide the best possible source of information for visitors, meeting attendees, Hope College parents – everyone who comes to the greater Holland area. The 2016 Guide is the main fulfillment piece for the Visitors Bureau, which handles close to 30,000 individual requests for information directly through their office, and ranks in the “top 7″ year-round in lead requests from Pure Michigan’s Additionally, over 33,000 guides are distributed to the Michigan Welcome Centers.
