5 killed in Colorado plane crash

airplane_xlargeA single engine plane crashed in a field northwest of the main runway at Erie Municipal Airport killing all five people on board. Sources reveal, the six-passenger plane, a Piper PA-46 based out of Erie, is registered to Real Estate School LLC. One of the passengers had to be airlifted by a medical helicopter.

 

National Transportation Safety Board investigator Courtney Liedler told the media that was flying in from the Centennial Airport.

 

Investigations are on to determine the cause of the crash.
