COOKING-AND-ETIQUETTE-300x168The perfect dinner party is made of three crucial ingredients: exquisite food, unforgettable company and an impeccable host. With this in mind, Four Seasons Hotel Milano presents its new calendar of cooking lessons with Executive Chef Sergio Mei, and author and etiquette expert Giorgia Fantin Borghi.

Not to be missed, the master classes from one of Italy’s most celebrated chefs and respected good manners aficionado Fantin Borghi are themed to events and holidays. Together they will share their knowledge and introduce the secrets behind the art of entertaining and how to leave a lasting impression on one’s guests.

Chef Mei creates his lesson menus so that cooking for cherished family and friends is a socially connecting and rewarding experience. He seeks to convey the passion and joy of preparing and presenting a well-done dish, by having fun with plenty of tasting along the way.

“Cooking is an art that celebrates life,” Sergio Mei says. “It’s an integral part of our lifestyle as it’s not only for important events that we celebrate together with those special to us, but part of our everyday life too.”

Complementing Chef Mei’s optimistic vision, Giorgia Fantin Borghi teaches the charm, manners and savvy that bring the spark to the party. A well-known wedding and event planner, Giorgia Fantin Borghi’s passion for the rules of etiquette is part of her pedigree. In the late 1950s, her grandmother taught good manners to single young ladies from Padua’s high society. These time-honoured rules are having a popular resurgence for those seeking timeless sophistication in lifestyles that are embedded in the multimedia era.

Classes begin with a warm introduction, coffee and chat with this duo of experts at Four Seasons Hotel Milano. Unleashing their fascinating knowledge, they will impart the secrets behind perfect guest entertaining: from the menu to grocery shopping, from the table setting to guest welcoming, from theory to practice. The lessons finish on the tastiest note: dining on the lunch participants have prepared in the buzzing surrounds of the Hotel’s legendary kitchen.

This year’s Cooking and Etiquette lessons program includes a choice of themed classes, including an unforgettable Easter feast and a dinner to celebrate Spring’s arrival. Lessons are priced at a rate of EUR 160.00 per person.
