Sea-Tac Welcomes Delta’s Latest New International Service to Seoul

Delta_140602_133-300x167The Port of Seattle joined Delta Air Lines to cut the ribbon on their latest international service today with the beginning of daily nonstop flights to Seoul from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.  The new service continues to highlight Delta’s growing commitment to building Seattle as its West Coast hub.
 

“The continued growth of international connections through Sea-Tac are a major factor in the region’s record tourism growth which promotes trade, business development and generates good jobs throughout the Pacific Northwest,” said Mark Reis, Managing Director of Sea-Tac Airport.
 

In 2013, Sea-Tac saw international passenger traffic increase by 10 percent over the previous year; in total, the airport served more than 34.7 million passengers. Through April of 2014, overall passenger traffic at Sea-Tac is up 4.2 percent over the same period in 2013, including a 6.2 percent increase in international passengers.
 

Flight Details for Seattle-Seoul Service
Delta will operate Seattle-Seoul service using a 210-seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft featuring 35 full flat-bed seats in Business Elite, 32 seats in Economy Comfort and 143 Economy class seats.

 

The new Delta flight schedule is as follows:

Delta is the largest operator of intercontinental services at Sea-Tac, serving 10 flights daily by this summer when they add service to Seoul and Hong Kong in June. Overall, Delta offers nonstop service from Seattle to Paris, London and Amsterdam (twice daily in the summer) in Europe as well as Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo-Narita, Tokyo-Haneda, Seoul and Hong Kong (coming June 16) in Asia. By August, Delta will operate more than 85 daily flights to 26 cities from Seattle.
