Visitors can enjoy the seventh KulturWinter programme in the enchanting setting of the Harz mountains from 31 January to 16 February. During this magical time of year there will be special guided tours and memorable events at castles, theatres, mines and abbeys.
These venues give a hint of the diverse natural and cultural heritage of the northernmost mountains in Germany. Large parts of the area come under the Harz National Park, and there are also UNESCO World Heritage sites in Quedlinburg and Goslar.
If you’re visiting the Harz this winter, be sure to take a trip on the Harz narrow-gauge railway to the top of Mount Brocken.
