Abacus imparts training to budding global travel industry professionals with Trade-wings Institute

Abacus-ties-up-with-Trade-wings_3-300x260Abacus, the leading travel solutions provider in Asia Pacific has today signed a treaty with the Trade-wings Institute of Management to train their students on the use of Abacus technologies, in preparation for careers in the global travel industry. This tactical agreement between both the entities enables the Institute to mentor their students at 40 centres across the country.

 

 
Mr. Jeet Sawhney, MD, Abacus India, commented on this association. “Considering the growth of the travel and tourism industry which is powered by technology, we believe this training is an important investment in India’s next generation of travel professionals. With experience of the multi-platform technology tools used by national, regional and global travel brands at over 20,000 travel agent locations, we are helping them gain a competitive edge in the jobs market to choose from the most exciting employers.

 

 

“Abacus is working with one of the pioneers in the field of Travel and Tourism, with the Trade-wings Institute of Management which was established in 1989. Its network of training centres span India, with courses that include Tourism, Airlines with Airline Revenue Accounting, Hotels, Cargo and more, devised to equip students for all aspects of the profession.

 

 
Mr. Rajan Dani (Director) Trade-wings Institute of Management commented, “We are training the students so that they are ready to manage travel with the region’s leading GDS and related technologies and will perform better in the workplace. They understand the critical role of technology in travel and are excited at the prospect of learning from direct experience.”

 

 
In accordance to the treaty, around 1000 students will be trained through this institute every year. Both the parties shall formally announce the courses being offered for the travel fraternity and also work jointly towards raising awareness of the enhanced technology training with strategic partner Abacus for those enrolling at the Institute.
