Accra Weizo travel fair to be attended by private tourism sector stakeholders

Accra-WeizoThe Accra Weizo event to be held next month will be attended by private sector tourism stakeholders in West Africa who will discuss the development of tourism in the sub-region.

The theme of 2016 edition of travel fair is “Seamless Travels in West Africa”.

The event is being organized by Akwaaba African Travel Market with the support of Ghana’s Ministry of Tourism Culture and Creative Arts.

The July 15 event would take an in-depth look into the ways to improve travel and tourism growth in West Africa through easy access to towns and cities in West Africa.

Highlighting further, Ikechi Uko, the organizer of the event, said in a statement that that the event would be attended by discussants from the Nigeria Association of Tour Operators, Tour Operators Union of Ghana, National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies and heads of the Tourism Associations from Benin and Togo.

The statement added that improving and simplifying airport and border processes; and standardising hotel and facilities for tourism through shared vision were some of the topics for discussion.
