Adria Airways introduced a scheduled route from Tirana to Frankfurt, commencing April 2014. Passengers can fly on this route four times a week. The Tirana – Frankfurt service uses 135-seat Airbus A319 aircraft.
Adria Airways has been flying between Tirana and Frankfurt since April this year, but together with Tirana Airport they have chosen today’s flight as the inaugural flight. Tirana Airport CEO Rolf Castro-Vasquez welcomed the guests coming from Slovenia.
”When it comes to the launch of a new route from Tirana International Airport, we all feel particularly proud because of the good changes in air travel that we have witnessed over the last few years in Albania. On behalf of the Airport, I offer my warmest congratulations to Adria Airways – one of our best clients and partners, said Tirana Airport CEO Rolf Castro-Vasquez.
Adria Airways has been flying between the capitals of Slovenia and Albania since March 1992, with 40.000 passengers travelling between the capitals by now.”I am very pleased that we have introduced this service and I trust that we will satisfy the travelling needs of both German and Albanian citizens,” said Mr. Mark Anzur, Adria Airways President and CEO at a brief ceremony on arrival in Tirana.
