Aiana Hotels &Resorts signs up deal with global hotel Management Company

The sign off event took place at the Qatari- Indian Economic Forum at New Delhi in the presence of Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar , Anil Wadhwa, Secretary
(East) Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and H.E. Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, Minister of Economy & Commerce, State of Qatar.

The agreement marks the coming together of Qatar’s leading entrepreneurand Chairman of Qatari Business Association, H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani and Amruda Nair, a third-generation hotelier and the eldest granddaughter of Late Captain C.P. Krishnan Nair, the legendary founder of The Leela group of hotels. Both partners sharethecommon vision of creating a brand that will be the preferred choice of the young global travellerand willprovideits guests with unique, and enriching experiences.

The new joint venture company Aiana Hotels & Resorts L.L.C.willembodya hospitality brand of upper upscale hotelsthat offers fresh and relevant product design and facilities customized to the traveller of today with an intuitive service ethic based on traditional Indian hospitality values.  Aiana Hotels &Resorts aims to be a leading operator of hotels, resorts and serviced apartmentsin the Middle East, Indian Sub-Continent and South East Asia.

To mark the launch, Aiana Hotels & Resorts unveiled the visual identity of the brand.  Aiana, in the ancient language of Sanskrit means “eternal blossom”.  It is also a place of refuge or retreat.  These two powerful and evocative images are represented as the universal symbol of the “mandala”in the brand logo.  Every point in the mandala represents an aspect of service – each is intertwined and connected with the other – beautifully coming together to represent the unique experience that Aiana promises its guests.

The joint venture combines the resources and visionary entrepreneurial skills of H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, ChairmanAl Sawari Holding and Al Faisal Holding Group, a conglomerate with over 40 diverse companies including interests in hotels and real estate with the hospitality expertise and passion of Amruda Nair, herself a third generation hotelier, driven by a passion to define the future of hospitality as we know it .

Aiana Hotels & Resorts is the result of a focused and proactive strategy which combines the strengths of its principals – business excellence and Indian hospitality.  It caters to the growing demand for value added offerings in the upper upscale hospitality segment and offers hotel owners an effective management solution from an experienced team of hospitality specialists.  The jointventure,with both partners having an equal share,will be based in Doha, Qatar and operate under the name Aiana Hotels & Resorts L.L.C.
