AIME-LOGO-Feb-2015-300x256The Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME), the leading business events trade show, has sponsored the Association of Australian Convention Bureaux (AACB) annual conference, 9 – 11 September 2015, for the second year.

As the premium event sponsor, the team from Reed Travel Exhibitions, operators of AIME, connected with each of Australia’s convention bureaux, discussing opportunities for their involvement at AIME 2016, 23 – 24 February 2016 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).

Sallie Coventry, ibtm events Portfolio Director, Reed Travel Exhibitions commented that the theme of the AACB conference resonated with AIME and spurred greater involvement for the second year.

“The theme of the AACB conference, Leadership: the transition from good to great, really struck a chord with us. AIME has a great focus on promoting leadership in the events industry and offers development opportunities that strengthen industry relationships and business networks.

“As the Asia-Pacific region’s leading business events trade show we feel it’s vital to partner with organisations like AACB to strengthen the events community’s connections year-round and to support the essential work of convention bureaux and national tourism organisations both domestically and internationally,” said Ms Coventry.

Andrew Hiebl, Executive Director of AACB highlighted AIME’s role within the business events industry and the partnership’s success.

“We recognise that AIME, now in its 24th year, is at the heart of the business event industry and offers a gathering of industry decision makers like no other. We are delighted to have AIME as a premium event sponsor of the AACB staff conference and greatly value their partnership,” said Mr Hiebl.

AIME is owned by the Melbourne Convention Bureau and will take place at MCEC from 23 – 24 February 2016.
