Air France congratulates Éric Bernard, Airbus A330-340 pilot, who won the 33rd World Gliding Championships in Räyskälä (Finland) today.
Organized by the FAI (International Aeronautical Federation) this championship brings together 25 nations represented by 130 high-level competitors. Often compared to a three-dimensional chess game, gliding requires a wide variety of technical and human skill, including extreme precision in steering and accuracy in decision-making.
“Air France congratulates Éric Bernard for winning title of world champion glider. This award demonstrates the commitment of all Air France staff to bringing flight safety to the highest level with discipline, precision and simplicity” said Eric Schramm, Executive Vice President – Flight Operations.
