On 21 and 22 June 2014, Air France will take part in the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the French Air Force at Air Base 120 in Cazaux.
Throughout the weekend, visitors will attend presentations on the ground and in the air, given by iconic aircraft from the French Air Force over the years.
This event, which Air France is sponsoring, is an opportunity for the Company to highlight the values it shares with the Air Force: rigour and the highest standards at the service of safety and performance.
For many years now, Air France has been providing maintenance support for the French Air Force’s AWACS aircraft as part of a maintenance service contract, as well as training programs for military pilots of Airbus aircraft.
The Company also supplies station ground handling for the entire State fleet.
Air France pilots, including some former fighter pilots and some from the Patrouille de France will be present to embody this link between the Air Force and Air France.
An Air France chalet will enable visitors to discover the Company’s core business areas in more detail.
On this occasion, the French Minister of Defence and the Chief of Staff of the French Air Force will be present to greet the Company’s representatives.
Close to 100,000 people are expected at the public open day on 22 June.
