In addition to its global social media pages, the world’s best low-cost airline has also established strong local social media presence in 12 countries – Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan, India, China (including Hong Kong), Taiwan, South Korea and Australia.

Collectively, Airasia has over 4.1 million fans on Facebook. The pages are kept interactive with daily postings of announcements, promotions, travel tips, destinations information and contests.

“Through our social media presence in the various countries we operate in, AirAsia is able to act local, but think global and build a strong relationship with our guests. We are easily one of the most social airlines around, as we are not just present on Facebook, but also Twitter, Weibo, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest as well as WeChat. We are glad to be able to connect people virtually as well as through our extensive route network across the region. Don’t miss out on the free seats*, so ‘Like’ AirAsia’s Facebook page now and be part of the exclusive priority booking for our Facebook fans on Monday, 7th October before others are able to grab it the next day,” added Siegtraund Teh.

Apart from its strong social media presence, AirAsia is the top airline and travel website visited by Malaysians as rated by comScore, a leading internet technology company measuring the digital world and digital business analytics.
