A technical snag forced an AirAsia flight to make an emergency landing at Melbourne airport/ The flight was scheduled to fly from Sydney to Kuala Lumpur.
According to the latest statements from a spokesman for Air Services Australia said the pilot decided to turn around flight XAX223 as a precautionary measure.
The Civil Aviation and the Safety Authority reported that the plane’s navigation system and map display were malfunctioning and the pilot chose to land at the Melbourne airport as the weather was favorable than Sydney.
The flight landed safely and there were no reports of injuries.
