Etihad Airways Partners Sign Declaration To Support The Prevention Of Illegal Wildlife TradeAt this year’s annual general meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Dublin, Stefan Pichler, CEO of airberlin, together with four other Etihad Airways equity partners, signed the Declaration of the United for Wildlife International Taskforce on the Transportation of Illegal Wildlife Products.

 
This Declaration, developed through an alliance of conservation organisations and The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, commits the transport sector to taking steps to help protect many of the worlds iconic wildlife species.

 
President and CEO of Etihad Aviation Group, James Hogan, signed the Declaration in London in March, and now airberlin, Alitalia, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles and Virgin Australia have joined Etihad Airways in supporting global efforts to help shut down transport routes exploited by wildlife traffickers.
