In June 2014, airberlin transported a total of 3,250,891 passengers, i.e. slightly more than in the corresponding month of the previous year.
Overall, over the past month, passengers traveled 4.8 billion kilometers in airberlin’s global flight route network. Since airberlin slightly increased the available seat kilometers to approximately 5.8 billion in monthly comparison (+1.0 percent), capacity utilization for June 2014 reached the high level of 84.0 percent, almost reaching the level obtained in the previous year (84.9 percent).
For the first half of 2014, airberlin welcomed a total of 14,633,797 passengers on board, i.e. 0.2 percent more than in the corresponding period of the previous year, and reached the high capacity utilization rate of 82.2 percent. The available seat kilometers amounted to 27.656 billion and the revenue passenger kilometers reached 22.722 billion.
