Airbus Americas seeking next group of Liaison Engineers for Mobile Assembly Line

airbusAirbus is looking for its next group of Liaison Engineers for three areas of its assembly line in Mobile, Alabama.

 

The three job openings posted today are for Liaison Systems Engineers-Powerplant & Mechanical, Liaison Systems Engineers-Cabin Systems and Liaison Engineers-Structure.

Liaison Systems Engineers will be responsible for providing engineering support during final assembly and delivery of A320 Family aircraft produced in the Mobile Assembly Line.
Liaison Engineers provide critical, time sensitive engineering support to Airbus production and are accountable for all activities of primary aircraft structure design within the assembly line process.

On July 2, 2012, Airbus announced it is building an assembly line for its A320 Family of aircraft in Mobile.

 

The groundbreaking for the assembly line was on April 8, 2013, and construction is underway.

Hiring for manufacturing jobs will continue into 2014. Aircraft production will begin in 2015, with the first Mobile-assembled aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2016.
