Airline industry gears up for the 13th Routes Asia on 15-17 March in Kunming,China

Routes AsiaIn 2015 the 13th Routes Asia will take place on 15-17 March in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China hosted by Yunnan Airport Group Co., Ltd. owners of Kunming Changshui International Airport, and supported by their partners Yunnan Provincial Civil Aviation Development and Management Bureau and Yunnan Provincial Tourism Development Commission.

The event, which is the annual gathering of air service decision makers for the Asia-Pacific region, is expected to attract over 100 airlines, 200 airports and 30 tourism authorities along with a number of other industry stakeholders from across the region to discuss air service development.

Registrations to date indicate a strong low cost carrier presence at the event with registrations already received from the likes of Scoot, Hong Kong Express Airways, Cebu Pacific Air, Spring Airlines, AirAsia Group and NokScoot. Registrations are also flooding in from the region’s flag carriers with Japan Airlines, Air India, Cathay Pacific, Garuda Indonesia, Air New Zealand and Philippine Airlines also registered to attend whilst carriers from outside the region who have confirmed their presence include: Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, Thomas Cook UK and Condor Airlines.

In addition to the Face-to-Face Meetings which are at the heart of all Routes events the Routes Asia Strategy Summit will take place on Sunday 15th March with industry thought leaders from across the region gathering to discuss some of the most topical issues affecting aviation across the Asia-Pacific region today.

Key speakers who will take part in this hard-hitting event, which is open to all attending delegates, include: Ms Zhang Xiuzhi, CEO of Spring Airlines; Hou Wei, Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Hainan Airlines; Andrew Cowen, Deputy CEO of Hong Kong Express; Andrew Herdman, Director General of AAPA, Association Of Asia Pacific Airlines and Mr Conrad Clifford – IATA’s Regional Vice-President for Asia-Pacific.
