Nashville-International-Airport-300x94Rebecca Ramsey, assistant director of Properties for the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA), was recently named the 2013 Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) Concessions Person of the Year.

“Rebecca’s leadership has been instrumental in elevating Nashville International Airport’s concessions program to the award-winning program it is today,” Rob Wigington, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, said. “We thank her and congratulate her.”

Rebecca Ramsey oversees the retail concessions program at Nashville International Airport (BNA), which under her direction has flourished to reflect Nashville’s diversity, hospitality and “Music City” moniker. She joined MNAA in 1992. Under Ramsey’s direction, concession sales at BNA have grown 18.1 percent since 2008. BNA’s reconfigured dining and retail options feature a strongly performing mix of national brands and local and regional concepts, which have been embraced by tourists and Nashville natives alike. Ramsey’s foresight for introducing fresh, new food and beverage and retail concepts has made BNA an industry leader. Additionally, Ramsey was integral in negotiating the business terms that secured financing for BNA’s $82 million consolidated rental car facility, one of the largest single projects in MNAA’s history, which opened on-time and on-budget in November 2011.
