The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) is organising the third Liwa Ajman Dates Festival on July 27 – 29, and preparations are underway to bring a successful festival that will showcase the finest produce of local date farmers in the emirate.
Ajman Liwa Dates Festival, the popular heritage festival, aimed at promoting the importance of the date palm tree in the life of the people living in the region is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors this year.
HE Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of ATDD, commented: “Preparations are underway to bring the third edition of Ajman Liwa Dates Festival to the emirate. We are meeting with the sponsors and organizers to make this festival a huge success. We will be announcing more details about the event in a few days and we’d like to invite our local date farmers to prepare and exhibit their finest produce of local dates. This year we are also adding the citrus fruits mango and lemon to the categories.”
