Alaska Air Group Reports February Operational Results

Alaska-Airlines-300x133Alaska Air Group Inc. today reported February and year-to-date operational results for its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air, and on a combined basis. Detailed information is provided below.

 

ALASKA AIRLINES – MAINLINE
Alaska reported a 4.2 percent increase in traffic on a 4.2 percent increase in capacity compared to February 2013.

This resulted in a flat load factor of 85.1 percent.

 

Alaska also reported 85.4 percent of its flights arrived on-time in February, compared to the 90.6 percent reported in February 2013.

HORIZON AIR
Horizon reported a 0.6 percent increase in traffic on a 2.5 percent increase in capacity compared to February 2013.

 

This resulted in a decrease in load factor of 1.2 points, to 78.8 percent. Horizon also reported 82.2 percent of its flights arrived on-time in February, compared to the 92.4 percent reported in February 2013.

AIR GROUP
On a combined basis, Air Group reported a 4.3 percent increase in traffic on a 4.6 percent increase in capacity compared to February 2013.

This resulted in a decrease in load factor of 0.2 points, to 84.6 percent.

 

These statistics include flights operated by Alaska and those under capacity purchase agreements, including Horizon, SkyWest and PenAir.
