Starting with the summer schedule beginning on March 29, 2015, Alitalia will launch new routes from Milan Malpensa and Venice to Abu Dhabi, tripling its frequency to the Capital of the United Arab Emirates with a total of 42 round-trip flights between Italy and Abu Dhabi.
The new Alitalia flights from Milan and Venice – in addition to Alitalia’s Rome Fiumicino – Abu Dhabi flight, which began on December 1, 2012 – will be in codeshare with Etihad Airways (Subject to the necessary government approvals), already providing service from Abu Dhabi to Rome and Milan.
The tickets for the new Alitalia flights are available for sale starting today, on www.alitalia.com, through Alitalia’s Customer Center at +39 06.65649, travel agencies and at designated airport ticket counters.
Alitalia’s new intercontinental flights will allow passengers departing from Northern Italy to reach the UAE directly, and to continue, via Abu Dhabi, to 27 destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia thanks to convenient connections on Etihad Airways.

NEW ALITALIA FLIGHTS MILAN MALPENSA – ABU DHABI
The first direct Alitalia flight from Milan Malpensa Airport to Abu Dhabi will depart March 29, 2015 at 22:10, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 6.15 (local time) the following day. From Abu Dhabi, the first Alitalia flight to Milan Malpensa will depart March 30, 2015 at 8:45 (local time) and will arrive in Milan at 13.25.
The daily flight will operate with Boeing 777 aircraft with 293 seats configured in three classes of service: Magnifica, business class; Classica Plus, premium economy class; and Classica, economy class.

NEW ALITALIA FLIGHTS VENICE – ABU DHABI
Alitalia’s flight from Venice to Abu Dhabi will depart from “Marco Polo” Airport March 29, 2015, at 21:55 arriving in Abu Dhabi at 5:55 (local time) the following day.
From Abu Dhabi, the first Alitalia flight to Venice will depart March 30, 2015 at 9.05 (local time) arriving in “Marco Polo” airport at 13.35.
The daily flight will operate with Airbus A330 aircraft with 250 seats, also configured in three classes of service: Magnifica, business class; Classica Plus, premium economy class; and Classica, economy class.

ALITALIA AND ETIHAD AIRWAYS AGREE TO CODESHARE 46 ROUTES WORLDWIDE
The codeshare agreement between Alitalia and Etihad Airways provides 46 code-shared flights operated by the two companies worldwide. Alitalia and Etihad Airways respective flights between Rome, Milan and Venice (as of March 29, 2015) to Abu Dhabi are code-shared, as well as a number of routes departing from Abu Dhabi and from Rome Fiumicino.
In particular, Alitalia’s AZ code has been applied to flights operated by Etihad Airways and departing from Abu Dhabi to 25 destinations in the Middle East, Africa, India, the Far East and Australia: Bahrain, Muscat, Kuwait, Johannesburg, Nairobi, Khartoum, Mumbai, Kochi, Delhi, Bangalore, Karachi, Lahore, Male, Seychelles, Colombo, Beijing, Chengdu, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.
In addition, the code will be applied to Dubai and Al Ain, two destinations served by a “luxury coach” shuttle service from Abu Dhabi Airport.
Etihad Airways’ EY code has been applied on flights operated by Alitalia from Rome Fiumicino to 16 Italian and international destinations: Milan Malpensa, Venice, Athens, Barcelona, Belgrade, Budapest, Frankfurt, Geneva, Madrid, Malta, Munich, Bucharest, Sofia, Tirana, Wien and Zurich.
