AmaWaterways, the world’s leading river cruise line, today announced that it has been named “Best River Cruise Line” for the third consecutive year during Virtuoso Travel Week. The line was presented with the honor during Virtuoso’s awards gala,
which brought together nearly 2,700 of the industry’s top influencers last week at Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
“AmaWaterways is humbled to receive this honor from Virtuoso for the third year in a row,” said Kristin Karst, AmaWaterways’ Executive Vice-President and Co-Owner. “At AmaWaterways, we strive to provide an exceptional river cruising experience. This incredible distinction showcases how our peers feel about us, and is a testament to our dedicated, hard-working team.”
The prestigious event recognized Virtuoso’s global portfolio of world’s-best travel partners, such as AmaWaterways, as well as a number of the most innovative, admired, and top-performing travel agencies and advisors throughout the United States, Australia and Latin America. The ceremony marked the conclusion of a successful weeklong gathering that brought together the upper echelon of the travel industry, including Virtuoso member agencies and their travel advisors, hotels and resorts, cruise lines, tour operators, preferred destinations and tourism boards, airlines and specialty services.
“Our organization comprises some of the top professionals in this industry, and these awards recognize the companies and individuals, such as AmaWaterways, who embody Virtuoso’s values as well as top performers who make this network so successful,” said Virtuoso Chairman and CEO, Matthew D. Upchurch, CTC. “We honor AmaWaterways as a leader, having been awarded Best River Cruise Line in recognition of its talents and contributions.”
This most recent honor for AmaWaterways comes on the heels of several other accolades. Earlier this summer, AmaWaterways was recognized by the Berlitz: River Cruising in Europe travel guide as having the highest rated ships, with an overall 4-Star Plus rating. Additionally, the company received Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Award and AmaPrima was the recipient of Cruise Critic’s Editors’ Pick Award for Best New River Cruise Ship.
