AmaWaterways Unveils Lineup of Three New Themed Cruises for 2015

With two opportunities to join the line’s new Beer Cruise in 2015, along with its Art Illumination Cruise and Jazz Cruise, AmaWaterways is helping travelers fulfill their passions onboard the most elegant, luxurious ships sailing the European waterways.

Beer buffs will have the chance to sample an array of authentic ales and lagers as they explore the European waterways like never before, during AmaWaterways’ 2015 Beer Cruise.

 

With two opportunities to sail next year, including March 31, 2015 aboard AmaLyra and December 14, 2015 aboard AmaPrima, passengers will enjoy excursions to historic breweries with guided tours, as well as tastings, of course, and educational onboard discussions.

 

A delectable beer pairing dinner will be presented on both ships by acclaimed beer expert and writer Don Russell. Also known as “Joe Sixpack,” Russell has written a weekly column in the Philadelphia Daily News for the past 15 years, authored three books, won numerous journalism awards and traveled the world in search of great beers.

 

Pricing for the Beer Cruise onboard AmaLyra starts at $2,599 per person; pricing onboard AmaPrima starts at $2,899 per person.

Art aficionados and aspiring artists alike can channel their inner Monet during AmaWaterways’ Summer 2015 Art Illumination Cruise.

 

Departing August 13, 2015 onboard AmaLegro, this 7-night voyage will journey through France’s legendary Normandy region, with visits to Rouen’s Gothic cathedral, Monet’s house and garden in Giverny, the picturesque seaside village of Honfleur and Van Gogh’s former home in Auvers-sur-Oise.

 

After admiring the real-life backdrops of the world’s most celebrated works of art, guests may participate in complimentary painting classes led by expert instructors.

 

The journey concludes with a 2-night stay in the magical “City of Light”, with a sightseeing tour and visit to the Musee d’Orsay.

 

Cruise only pricing for the Art Illumination Cruise onboard AmaLegro starts at $3,599 per person; an optional 2-night stay in Paris is available for cruise only passengers, starting at $600 per person, including luxury hotel accommodations, daily breakfast and guided tours.

There’s even more in store for 2015 AmaWaterways passengers with the line’s anticipated Jazz Cruise, slated for departure September 22, 2015 onboard AmaLyra. Conducted in partnership with Jazzdagen Tours, this 7-night cruise along the Danube will feature exclusive jazz performances by a global assortment of musicians and immersive tours of a variety of ports, including the grand capital Vienna and charming towns like Durnstein.

 

Guests can explore magnificent cathedrals and Baroque abbeys, take in the stunning sights of Wachau Valley and traverse Europe’s Continental Divide via the Main-Danube Canal, a masterpiece of modern engineering.

 

The Jazz Cruise onboard AmaLyra starts at $3,599 per person.

Travelers taking part in one of AmaWaterways’ new themed cruises aboard AmaLyra, AmaPrima and AmaLegro will enjoy an impressive variety of elegant dining options serving up the finest in Western-style cuisine, including the main dining restaurant or an intimate experience at The Chef’s Table.

 

Entertainment abounds with live musical performances, cultural discussion forums and themed dinners on all sailings.
