Football fans from around the country will unite in northeast Florida to ring in the New Year at the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl at Jacksonville Everbank Field on January 1, 2014. With a noon kickoff, the game will feature the University of Nebraska and University of Georgia teams in a collegiate football showdown. Rates start at $208 plus tax and include the hotel’s standard amenities, such as a wet bar, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker with Starbucks coffee, HBO and Wi-Fi.
Amelia Island Hampton Inn at the Beach
The Amelia Hampton Inn at the Beach is offering a Gator Bowl Staycation with two options. Gator Bowl fans can reserve three nights (December 29 through 31) starting at $109 per night (plus tax), or four nights, with rates starting at $99 per night. Both packages include complimentary breakfast buffet each morning.
ERA Fernandina Beach Realty
From December 27 through January 5, ERA Fernandina Beach Realty is offering a 20 percent discount at select properties. Guests staying at Fernandina Beach Realty, Amelia South, Oceans of Amelia and Amelia by the Sea are eligible for the special Gator Bowl rates.
Fairbanks House
Fairbanks House is offering a third or fourth night free to fans who check in on December 29, 30 or 31. Rates start at $185 per night for two, and include daily two-course breakfasts, along with evening adult beverages and hors d’oeuvres. The offer is valid from December 29 to January 2 and requires a minimum two-night stay.
