ANA and JAL Fly to Tokyo Haneda from April

CA-serving-C2-newsAll Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced a new service between London and Tokyo Haneda Airport, in response to growing demand for the route. The route change will be effective from 30 March 2014.

 

 

International travellers are increasingly looking to Haneda Airport as a hub, due to its accessibility for central Tokyo (13 mins by monorail) and range of domestic flights, allowing for easy access to popular Japanese destinations such as Hiroshima, Matsuyama and Okayama. London Heathrow to Tokyo Narita airport flights will continue via a codeshare with Virgin Atlantic.
 
From 1 March, ANA passengers will be able to purchase internet access on-board selected international flights using the new ANA Wi-Fi Service. PasseA meal on an ANA flight to Japanngers will be able to use their own devices, such as smartphone or tablet, to surf the web, access e-mail and update social networks including Facebook and Twitter and more.

 

The new service is introduced in response to customer requests for on-board internet access, as more people become accustomed to using smartphone and tablet technology on the move. Charges will be – up to 5MB $US6, up to 10MB $US12 and up to 20MB $US24.
